The Hidden Lakes Family
When Hidden Lakes was established in the Fall of 2008, the idea was simple: providing a hunting experience without having to travel hours on end, all while being able to have a successful hunt. Eleven seasons later, Hidden Lakes still holds true to our foundation, with a greater vision in mind.
Hi, My name is Cord Burnett and I am the operator of Hidden Lakes Hunting Resort. When my parents founded Hidden Lakes, I was starting my freshman year of college in pursuit of my business degree. Growing up, my dad and 3 brothers spent the holidays at the hunting lease. The same lease that we all shot our very first quail on. I believe that those trips have shaped me into the avid bird hunter that I am today. We have always had a hunting dog in our family, and in my opinion, there's nothing better than seeing a good bird dog pointing at a covey of quail and the adrenaline rush of them scurrying in front of me.
My first job at Hidden Lakes was to clean the dog pens and help with the birds. I then was promoted to the lead guide of our hunts. In the year of 2013, my father was ready to retire from the lodge and he put me in charge of Hidden Lakes. Since then, I have been determined to create an ultimate hunting experience and I am extremely proud of the growth that Hidden Lakes has accomplished.
As we continue to grow, our dedication to creating an exceptional experience for our clients is the natural result of combining our team’s talents and efforts, as we share our passion for wing shooting and southern hospitality with our guests. If you’re considering booking a hunt with us, we promise you will not be disappointed.
God Bless, Cord Burnett
